Playing House

Last week we registered! We will do a little fine tuning here and there, but the bulk of it is done. It was a lot harder than I imagined it would be. Being that we are both pushing 40 and have had many years of living apart and a couple together…we have many things. It is not like we are in our early 20’s and need to set up a house. I would have skipped this step altogether but at the urging of friends and family…we did it! And we had a good time. Our registries can be found at Macy’s and Crate and Barrel.

We didn’t sign up for China or Everyday plates of any kind. Due to my recent obsession with vintage china, we certainly will not need any at all. I have been collecting all different patterns of vintage china to use for our reception. It will be mix and match dinner plates and dessert plates. This has been a true labor of love, that I hope will be only one of the touches that makes our wedding and reception very personal.

Current stock of the vintage stuff, only about 1/2 way there.

  1. Hi Deenskeeya!

Your wedding video…to cool. They key to marriage is to be able to play AND be serious when you have to! Looks like you have all that in spades. We are moving this week. I have a box of my wedding fine china. I keep moving it from place to place. It is 32 years old…not so very vintage. Do you want it? I would guess 10 place settings?
